Math has always been like a puzzle to me. From pre-algebra on, I loved the challenge and took every math class my high school offered. In college, I discovered how much I enjoyed helping others with it, tutoring friends and even the football team at the community college I attended.

Years later, when my oldest child had a medical crisis and lost all language, my perspective on learning changed forever. Homeschooling him meant finding creative ways to rebuild his skills. I studied techniques from specialists, attended seminars, and blended what I learned with my own training in earning a degree in education into my own approach.

That experience shaped not only how I taught my own kids, but how I now tutor every student.
